A compilation of 20 Nneka quotes.
Nneka Lucia Egbuna was born on December 24, 1980. She is a singer, songwriter, and actress from Nigeria. She sings in three languages: English, Igbo, and Nigerian Pidgin.
Nneka was born in Nigeria to a German mother and a Nigerian father. Nneka’s German mother left the family when she was two years old.
Nneka originally came to public recognition in 2004 when she opened for dancehall reggae sensation Sean Paul at Hamburg Stadtpark, and after great praise, she declared her plans to record her debut album.
Following the release of her debut EP, The Uncomfortable Truth, she embarked on her first tour in April 2005, performing throughout Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Nneka’s debut album, Victim of Truth, was released in Europe, Nigeria, and Japan in 2005. After receiving positive press, the UK’s Sunday Times dubbed Victim of Truth “the year’s most criminally overlooked album.”
